Rain Gutter Bookshelves

I'm sure you saw these rain gutter bookshelves ALL over pinterest a while back. 

One of my friends hung them in her boys room and they looked sooo cute. She inspired me and I have been wanting to hang them in my boys room.  Annnd guess what? It only took me about 4 months to finally get them up.  I'm feeling very accomplished right now!  I really am.

I purchased the rain gutters at Lowes.  They come 10 feet long and are about 6 bucks each.  I got two of them and cut them into (3) 4 foot pieces with a steel saw.

Then I hung them with 1 1/4 inch screws.  

I screwed in 3 screws in each of the shelves for more support.

With the Hubs help, this project really only took 15 minutes, start to finish.

And WaaLaa! 

You now have yourself some very easy bookshelves!
