St. George H O T spots - Breakfast at Tifiny's

Our next hot spot is a cozy brunch spot in Santa Clara called, Breakfast at Tifiny's, located in Santa Clara just off of Santa Clara drive.
They serve breakfast, crepes, and gelato 8am-2pm Mon- Sat and just started serving dinner 6-8pm Mon-Sat.

Last weekend, the girls and I went there for a delicious brunch. We sat outside on the garden patio. It's really beautiful this time of year with all of the greenery and flowers!

For brunch, my Mom ordered the Orange Oatmeal & Quinoa.  My Sister, Chantelle ordered the California Eggs Benedict and my Sister Kylie and I shared their famous Creme Brulee French Toast.
They soak it over night in custard and it is seriously to die for.

I'm thinking Babe and I are going to have to go back on a date sometime to try their dinner!
I saw that they offer salmon which I am a big sucker for.

If you want to connect with Breakfast at Tifiny's visit their facebook page here
You can also get the directions here if you want to go give it a try!

Miss Haiven really does love her Aunties kisses, promise.

To My Kiddlets

Dear Nixon,
Hey little buddy, can't believe you're already 3 years old. You are such a little firecracker child and too smart for your own good! You started counting to 10 at 18 months old! You know all your shapes, colors and abc's. And are starting to learn how to write them. Your favorite song is 22 by Taylor Swift. You love singing along to it while holding up two fingers when she says, "22". You are obsessed with Godzilla, the original series on Netflix, which cracks me up. You love building towers with blocks and are pretty dang good at it. Your Dad and I keep saying we wouldn't be surprised if you ended up becoming an Architect. You really are that good;) You are such a sweetie and will spontaneously come up to me and say, "Mom, you're pretty!" It always makes my day! Some of your favorite phrase are, "Do you remember when.." and "I wish I was big like..." Some of your favorite things to do is; Play in the water with your brother, go to Grandmas house, play with play-dough, paint, skype Nana and Papa, go swimming, and play at the park. I need to start writing down some of the things you say because you seriously crack me up with some of the stuff you come up with! Well I love you to the moon and back my little Nixon Buddy. Love, Mama.

Dear Jovi,
Oh my little Jojo, you are already 2 years old! You are such a little sweetheart and so tender hearted. You are always so concerned about you Brother and Sister. Every time you get something you make sure to get one for "Niss" (Nixon) too. And whenever you baby sister or "baby gul" is crying,  you run over to her and try to calm her down. You love doing basically whatever Nixon is doing. You guys are starting to play so cute together. You are also learning to stand your own ground and fight back which is often trouble! You weigh a pound more than your brother and are only 2 inches shorter then him. You are catching up pretty quick! One of your favorite songs you sing is the song from the Lorax "how bad can I be". You are getting really good at putting sentences together and are trying so hard to get all your colors straight. The fact that your trying is all that matters to me:) You also love to play in the water, go to Grandmas house, play with your cousin Haiven, and build with blocks and Lego's. You and your brother also started gathering all the pillows in the house to make a huge pile to jump in. You guys seriously do this for hours. Well I love you to the moon and back my little Jojo beans. Love, Mama.

Dear Gibson,
My little Gibby Lou, in just a few days you will be 2 months old! My does time fly by! You are such a sweet little angel babe. I really just stare at you and think how did I get so lucky to have such a gorgeous baby girl! I'm in trouble with you I just know it! I'm going to be fighting off guys left and right;) You have been such a good baby! Which I know has been a huge blessing because your older brother can be quite the handful. I have a feeling you are going to be the little peace maker and keep them in line. You started smiling a month ago and your smiles just keep getting bigger and bigger as you get older. Your smiles seriously lights up my world! You also started gooing which I loooovvvee. It's the sweetest thing ever to sit and hold you and talk to you (crap I just started to tear up a little:)) Better wrap this up before I lose it! Anyways, I love you baby girl and know that you came at the perfect time! We all just can't get enough of you and love you so dearly. I love you to the moon and back my sweet little Gibby Lou. Love, Mama.

P.S I started sketching again and I'm starting a little sketch book of you guys of our day to day lives and adventures together. Here's the first one. Hope you like it:)

Quick & Easy Freezer Jam

You will need--->>>

1 box of pectin
3 1/4 Cups of crushed Strawberries. (Fresh or Frozen)
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
4 1/2 cups of sugar
1 cup light corn syrup

*Makes about 7 cups of jam

Directions

1. Wash & rinse plastic containers or glass jars.
2. Prepare fruit by crushing or blending fruit. (if you use frozen strawberries, make sure to let them thaw out for a couple hours before you try and crush them.  You can use a potato crusher if you want the jam to have chunks of fruit in it. I prefer to blend mine. Just make sure not to puree the fruit.
3. Pour the fruit and lemon juice into a large bowl.
4. Pour sugar into a separate bowl.
5. Gradually stir 1 box pectin into the fruit. Mix thoroughly and set aside for 30 mins stiring every 5 mins to dissolve pectin.
6. Pour 1 cup light corn syrup into fruit mixture & mix well.
7. Stir in sugar gradually to the fruit mixture until completely dissolved.
8. Pour into your prepared containers, leaving 1/2 inch space at the top for expansion during freezing time.
9. Let stand at room temperature 24 hours until set. Then Freeze or store in your fridge.
*Refrigerate up to 3 weeks. Or store in freezer for up to a year. (Thaw in refrigerator.)

Our next hot spot is Town Squares splash pad! It's located right in the middle of town, just off of Main Street. There's a little stream for the kids to play in, a fountain, and a carousel. There are also grassy areas and tables and chairs for the adults to lounge while they watch their kiddies play and have a blast! Click here for directions.

St. George H O T spots - Judds Store

For those of you who were raised in St. George, you would have to agree that Judds is the best candy store in town!
I still remember coming here with my family when I was a wee one
They have the best bread sticks and old fashion soda around.

It's also right next to the Town Square slash pad (our next HOT spot)
Which makes for a fun day of snacks and swimming for the whole family.

If you haven't been there yet, get there.

Twigs Woodwear

Great things are happening over at Twigs Woodwear! They are an ECO friendly company that use natural and recycled resources which Evan and I are a big fan of. Another thing we thought was really cool is, they teamed up with a foundation called TOMA and a portion of the money is donated to help families in need of prescription glasses, water, food and/or medical supplies. Their business motto is "Look Good, Do Good" I think they are definitely accomplishing both of those things.

They just launched a new line of shades called | Plastic Meets Bamboo | and now is your chance to use this special promo -->(drivenbytwigs)<-- to get 30 percent off of your purchase! It's running this week ONLY so head on over now!

Why are you still here?! You need to be here! <<----

Heart Walk Foundation

Evan and I are so excited to be helping with this amazing non-profit organization called, Heart Walk Foundation. They have been around for the past 10 years and have helped to fund education, greenhouses and trout farms in Q'ero villages in Peru. Their documentary "Heart of the Andes"  was just selected  to show in the DOCUTAH film festival September 3-7 and will go on national tour through the fall of 2013 and 2014. Which is very exciting!

My heart goes out to these wonderful people the more I learn about them. It's very humbling and makes you feel all the more grateful for the things that you have. If you would like to learn more and find out how you can help get involved, visit their website here. Every little bit helps:)
