Little Loves

Gibson loves putting on mine or Evan's hats. I'll find her throughout the day walking around with one on her head. Sometimes she will even run right into the wall because the hat is too big and she can't see where she's going! She's never gotten really hurt, and will jump right back up and keep walking around with it on. She's such a funny little human.
Jovi is such a good brother with the biggest heart ever. He is always looking out for everyone and loves passing out hugs and kisses. He in return likes a lot of hugs and kisses. One of his favorite things is when I rub essential oils on this back and then scratch it at night before bed. When I try and stop he'll say "noo don't stop, more scratching please!"
Nixon is very thoughtful and very creative. He loves sculpting things out of play dough and is really good at it. Yesterday he made a stegosaurus and a nest with eggs in it. I was really impressed!
I told her to smile and this is what i got. haha.

Yesterday, we got our car back from the shop, so I took the little ones out for some exploring while Ev was at work.

First things first, the car needed to be vacuumed and washed since it hadn't been cleaned since after our trip out here.  It was pretttttyyy bad and making my anxiety run very high! I HATE having a messy car, so vacuuming it is usually a weekly occasion with our three little messy monkeys.

After I got the car all nice and cleaned, we went to check out a few shops and found some other places to add to our family to do list. After our 4th stop, and chasing a few wild kids around the store, it was time to make our way back home and get Gibson down for a nap.

During nap-time, I cleaned up the house and started some laundry while the boys played with play dough. Play dough has definitely been a big life savor around here as I have been trying to unpack boxes and get the house in order. It will seriously entertain them for hours.

When Gibs got up, i fed her a snack then started making taco's for dinner. I turned on T Swifts new album and had a little dance party with her in the kitchen while she helped me make dinner. When the Shake It Off song came on, I would shake my hair in her face while busting out a silly move, she thought it was hilarious and couldn't stop laughing! when i would stop so she could catch her breathe, she would  try and mimic everything i did. She's so great!  <3 The boys came in to join us when they heard gibby laughing. We danced and made Gibson laugh a litter longer, then at dinner.

Ev got home a little bit later and we had the Missionaries from our church stop by for a visit. Our kids are nowhere near shy, and loved having visitors over to show them all their toys and whatever else they could find. haha. Nixon (all on his own and without anyone asking) went and filled up two glasses of water and set them down in front of the missionaries haha. I guess he thought he looked thirsty or something. I thought it was really sweet of him.

After then left, we tucked our little loves in and headed for bed. It's crazy how much our schedule and nightly routine has changed since we moved out here. The kids are in bed a lot earlier then before and even we have been getting to sleep a lot earlier. We must be getting old or something ;)

Crazy Love.

I feel like life has be a little bit crazy lately. One thing after the other, never being able to keep up with daily tasks... you know, typical Mom life.  Like that mountain of laundry in the corner of my room that has been haunting me for days...

I was talking to my good friend Lindsy about this the other day (basically venting to her) And it turns out, she has been feeling this very same way. It felt so good to talk with her and realize I'm not the only one who feels this way sometimes.

So you mean this is a normal Mom thing? and I'm not alone when I feel like pulling my hair out at the end of the day after feeling like a crazy person for having to repeat myself over and over again?! You mean, I'm not the only one who hates cleaning something that 5 mins later just gets messed up again (especially my couch) You mean other Mom's may also get annoyed with never having a clean kitchen sink and just when when it is nice and shiny clean, another dish gets thrown into it?! (yeah I get that's what a sink is for... but it just looks so pretty and makes me feel so accomplished when there is nothing in it!)

So I guess what I'm getting at is, it's nice to have friends and other Mom's to relate with, to know that I'm not the only one who feels this way sometimes, to know this is totally normal and all apart of the journey of Motherhood.

I know I have it pretty good, and things could be a lot worst. At least I have a sink with running hot water right?  but I also know It's OK for me to feel this way sometimes because its totally normal. It's a think I have come to call crazy love. Even though things are a a bit crazy with little ones, I love them so much and wouldn't have it another way.

I know that one day I am probably going to miss this crazy stage of life. This stage while the kids are still so young and innocent. I'm just going to take it a day at a time, one foot in front of the other. Enjoying the little things through all the mess. Because if i think of it this way, at least my kids are happy and healthy enough to be making the mess...  So I say, bring on that mess;)

Daddy's Girl

Dear Gibson,
Hey sweet girl, you have turned into quite the Daddy's girl lately. Some nights when you are having a hard time getting to sleep, I will put you in bed with us and immediately you snuggle up close to your Daddy. You love it when we scratch your back as you fall asleep. You have the best personality and keep us all laughing. You love to make us laugh. You love hanging out with your brothers. Wherever they are you want to be.

You prefer our food over baby food. I'm crossing my fingers you will not be picky like your brothers. You love your blank (blankie) and snuggle your face deep into it whenever you are getting sleepy. You also like to bite on the corners when you are sad or teething.

You love music and have some good moves every time you hear it. You especially love it when I sing to you, which I do every night when I am tucking you into bed.

You are pretty stubborn and very persistent. When I move you away from something I don't want you to play with, you go right back over to it.

Every time you wake up in the morning or from a nap you are smothered with loves and kisses. Your brothers call you their little princess and love you so very much.

You are our little ball of sunshine and we are so blessed to have you sweet Gibson Jade.
We love you very very much.

Love, Mama xoXox

Grandma's Farm

My little Sis Rylee & Spot

Growing up, my Mom was always saying how she wished we lived on a farm.
We would have fresh milk and eggs right at our finger tips, she would say.

I remember not liking this idea because cows require milking in the early AM hours and I was not a fan of the idea of getting up that early!!!  Still doesn't sound very fun to me.;)

I also thought It was funny this was her dream because she grew up in the city.

Well It probably took a little longer than my Mom would have hoped, but in a way, she is now living her farm dream  (minus the cow thank goodness...;)

They have chickens, a roster, bunnies, a dog, birds and fish!
Grandmas house is the place to be.
My kids would live there if I let them.
It's always so hard to leave, because there is just so many fun things to do there.

First thing Nixon does when we get to Gramma's is asks her to go check for chicken eggs with him.
My Mom is always so cute to make sure and save them for him when she knows he's coming over.

It's his absolute favorite things to do, and he gets so excited every time he finds some.

Jovi is more afraid of the chickens, when one gets close to him he runs aways saying, "he's gonna eat me!" haha.

But he LOVES dogs. Doesn't matter the breed or size he loves them all.

Gibby has fun crawling around and chasing the chickens and bunnies.
She thinks they're pretty funny and laughs as she "stink bug crawls" after them.

It's funny to think I'm starting to want the same dream as my Mama. And it's not just me... it's our whole family.

I know it will eventually come, but sometimes I get super impatient and want it NOW!!

I'm not complaining either... I'm just a big dreamer and super optimistic.

Which makes me always excited and hopeful for the future. Whatever it may be. :)
