A New Adventure

Gibson's mocs by Potato Feet can be found here

About a week ago, we packed up all our belongings, said our goodbyes to close family and friends (insert tear emoji here) and made our way to the southern part of Missouri.

Evan and I have been tossing the idea of moving out here for the past few years, so when the opportunity came to move, we couldn't past is up.

I was sort of in denial about the whole moving thing and didn't really tell anyone about our new adventure a head of us. I wanted to be 100 percent sure we were going to go through with it before I had to break the news.

I was feeling ready for change and a new adventure, but the hardest part of it all was having to say bye to to family and friends. We were fortunate enough to live so close to them for the past 3 years in our sweet little southern Utah town and were only a 4 hour drive away from Ev's family.
So basically, when it came down to moving, we were excited and hopeful, the only thing holding us back and making it hard to leave was the fact we would no longer be close to family and friends. But we both felt it was what we needed to do.

Now here we are in our new place still working on getting settled, but it's starting to feel more like home as the house gets put together and we get more familiarized with the town.

We are loving the crisp fall air and excited for our new adventure.

Our first few days here, we took the little ones to the Bass Pro Shops. They were ecstatic running around checking out the different animals and fish.

According to Gibson, every animal and creature make the sound a dog makes. It was pretty adorable to see her "woof woof" at everything. I'm putting together a little video of our trip there and can't wait to share it!

A few of our favorite things about Missouri so far

  • All the trees and greenery <3<3<3
  • The southern charm (my trip to the grocery store is a lot different here then it was back home.) everyone says hi and would do anything for you. Especially when I have Gibson with me, complete strangers will stop dead in their tracks to talk to her and play peek-a-boo. It's been fun so see and is helping us feel more at home in a unfamiliar place.
  • Having a BACKYARD!
  • Season's
  • The old school feeling of downtown
  • All the farm life here
  • The vintage shops & pastry shops
That's just a few things, I'm sure our list will grow as time goes on.

*Thanks to Potato Feet with Gibson's little Mocs! They fit perfectly and stay on her so well. (They have been especially nice to have her wear in the house on the wood floors) So thanks you!! xox
