DIY Birch Coasters

These coasters were really easy and fun to make!
With only 3 simply steps.

1. Cut the wood at about 3/4 inches in width.
2. Lightly sand the tops of the coasters.
3. Paint the top with mod podge or a clear paint to help waterproof and stain proof the coasters.

And...... Waalaa!

Nixon wanted to help me arrange the coasters for the finished picture.

Toddler Summer Shirt ~ Refashion

I have to say, I am so excited that I actually made this!  I have never sewn a t-shirt before and had no idea of where to even start.  I found this awesome tutorial on how to sew a tee here.  She explains it way better then I ever could.

One thing I did different from her tutorial is I used a spaghetti strap shirt I found at the thrift store for 3 bucks for the main part of the shirt.  For the sleeves I used a mustard yellow jersey knit fabric.  And the collar is the same fabric she used, rib knit.

I asked Nixon if he liked the shirt I made him and he said, "I WUUUVE it!"  Made me smile. :)
