St. George H O T spots - Children's Museum

There is a new Children's museum in town, and it's definitely worth checking out. We went with my Sister Chantelle and our good friend Charity and easily spent a couple hours there. There is no admission it's donation's only. I'm hoping they stick around for a long time because this little town needs more indoor activities for the kids and they had a blast! So if you haven't had a chance to go and you live in the St. George area you should go check it out. Binoculars and Bird Watching

Today my Sister Chantelle and I helped the kiddies make binoculars out of TP rolls.
When they were done, we headed out in search for some birds, squirrels, lizards and whatever else they wanted to spot out through their binoculars.
They had a blast.

Duvet Tent

I'm sure the boys have been feeling a little neglect with having to share their Mama with new baby Sister. 

 So I have been trying to get back into the swing of things and do some activities with them to try and mix up their TV intake lately. 

I found the duvet tent idea over at Adventures in Pinksugarland and thought it would be fun to try it out on the boys. 

They thought it was pretty cool.

Nixon reassured me with a big hug and said "You're the best Mom evvver!"

I can't take credit for the art class idea, that was all Nixon.

He came up to me and said "Hey I have an idea! Let's paint a picture for my new baby Sister!"

So they did, then hug it up by her crib so she could see it.

I thought it was a pretty fantastic idea;)

Indoor Activities

The weather here has been playing tricks on us. One day it gets up to 60 degrees and we are outside on the lawn eating chips ahoy while the boys make mud pies. And then the next day we are bundle up by the fire reading stories trying to stay warm. 

I can't complain too much, at least we don't have to deal with the snow. It's pretty and fun for a minute, but I definitely don't miss living in it. 

The other morning we woke up to fog. It was beautiful. Of course I had to grab my camera and capture the moment. We hardly ever get fog here. 



Since it's been way too cold for playing outside the past few days, I have been trying to think a new ways to entertain two busy little boys.

The first one we came up with is a B U B B L E | B A T H !  Probably not the kind you are thinking of, I'm talking about the kind of bubbles you blow. They loved it. Last year some of our friends gave Nixon a bubble gun for his birthday, which I am a big fan of. All you do is push a button and waalaa instant bubbles! No more - out of breathe, blue in the face, not blowing the bubbles fast enough Mama for me;)





The next thing we did is I N D O O R | C H A L K. Nixon loves going outside in the summer to draw with chalk, and since it's been too cold for that, we had to improvise. I laid out a long piece of paper, taped it to the floor, and the boys went to town drawing on it with chalk.

Thanksgiving Table Cloth

A new family tradition we are starting is helping the kids make a Thanksgiving tablecloth for the "kids table" on Thanksgiving. 

We helped them make little turkeys by painting their hands and putting hand prints all over the tablecloth.

The older kids painted pictures on it as well.

I was so excited because one of my best friends, Sandi, called me and said she was in town! So her and her adorable little girl Taya came over to help decorate the tablecloth. We have been friends since we were 8, so we count her as family too!

Their masterpiece
